| Practice, as an integral part of the teaching material, is one of the main ways to gain skills and abilities. Comprehensive course is the backbone of teaching Chinese as a foreign language courses, setting the four skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing at a suit. It’s a crucial importance of selecting the comprehensive teaching materials in primary stage of learning Chinese, which is the introductory stage of learning Chinese.The paper has chosen two sets with wider range of use of elementary comprehensive textbook "A Course in Chinese " (revision of the first volume) and "Developing Chinese " (the second edition Elementary Comprehensive Course â… ) as the research object, applying the method of statistics, comparison and combining previous research results and related theories, analyzing the practice of the two sets of teaching material based on the use of them. It has four main sections of this paper.The first section, the introduction part, introduces the reason and background of the selected topic, and expounds research significance, then further introduces the research object of this paper, sums up the applying research methods, analyzes and arranges the research results related to the course works.The Second section, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the two sets mainly by comparing research in three aspects, that is, the compiling line, the compiling core and the style design.The third section concentrates on the practice of the two sets of teaching materials to conduct a comprehensive inspection, mainly from the practice purpose, practice topic quantity, practice question types and practice content four aspects to analysis and research. In terms of practice purpose, we analyzed the practice of 11 kinds of purposes, summarized that the main purpose should be emphasized in the practice design and a secondary purpose also be considered, comprehensively improving the quality of practice. In terms of practice topic quantity, we caculated the total quantity and the average amount of each lesson of two sets of teaching material’s practice, and found the great attention of the practice, and finally concluded that practice quantity should be arranged from the perspective of learners, taking the teaching contents, combined with the practice purpose into comprehensive consideration.In the aspect of practice question types, we found the respective fixed questions and changeable questions of these two sets of teaching materials by comparing, analyzed and summarized the common and specific question types, providing the reference for the later writing of the textbook exercises. In the aspect of practice content, we concentrated on respectively from four aspects in phonetics, vocabulary, grammar and characters, analyzing the difference of two sets of teaching practice by examples, so as to make a reference for later writing of the textbook exercises.The fourth section put forward some advice for the design of the comprehensive teaching Chinese as a foreign language practice, combined with the analysis of two sets of teaching practice, proposing respectively from the practice, the topic quantity, the purpose of the topic and content.This paper sums up the similarities and differences between the two comprehensive Chinese textbooks practice by comprehensive investigation and analysis. We hope that this article research could offer some reference opinions for writing effective primary comprehensive teaching practice, and enrich the practice of primary comprehensive teaching Chinese as a foreign language contrast research and practice about teaching material practice design theory, so as to provide some practical application value for comprehensive teaching Chinese as a foreign language practice research. |
