In analysis of typical examples, the translator applies the literal translation and conversion of part of speech into translation practice. Being written in the early twentieth century with contents of politics, the biography and letters in it tend to be more serious and formal, thus, the modern colloquial does not fit in the translation, and the translator should pay attention to the language style of the source text, focus on objective and accuracy.However, in translation, adoption of communicative translation except for semantic translation is essential in consequence of communicative function of letter. Communicative translation concentrates that whether the translation accord with the cultural background and language convention or not. The translator strives to simplify the language to make it easy to be accepted and understood by readers with methods of annotation and adjustment of word order.Through this translation practice, the translator concludes that connection of semantic translation and communicative translation is in demand to perfect the translation both in content and style, and ensure that the translation is translated fluently with linguistic features of the original kept and readability.
