Aesthetics is a concept of literary theory which is very rich in meaning.It’s restricted here to "The Fillip Word" written by Gu Zhenguan for better grasp of the concept as well as and convenient expound in order to seize the aesthetic emotion and aesthetic pursuit implied in "The Fillip Word""The Fillip Word",the best collection of Ci created by Gu Zhenguan during his lifetime, has revealed its unique aesthetic pursuit and emotional connotation which reflects its author ‘s principal aesthetic thought.In the process of this topic research,we mainly from three aspects:Firstly,exploring theculture background nourishing its aesthetics. On the one hand, we consider the connection of Gu Zhenguan’s creation works and his experience. On the other hand,the Qing dynasty Ci resurgence phenomenon is also considered as culture background. These struggle help to explore the social-cultural background and cultural psychology backgroundwhen the author was creating the Ci.Secondly,doing focused research on its aesthetic emotion, aesthetic pursuit and thoughts of Ci-poetry.When it comes to the aesthetic emotion,we pay more attention to his expression of feelings and will as well as his emotional sigh about the national rise and fall;aesthetic pursuit, his true feelings of Ci and expression of spirit;thoughts of Ci-poetry,his observation of Ci-poetry and expound of soul and spirit.Thirdly,exploring its aesthetic value.Its unique and irreplaceable position in the Ci-poetry critical theory of the Qing Dynasty and its significant contributions to Ci resurgence in the Qing dynasty are both clarified here.Developing with the time,Ci-poetry is gradually turning into dust compared with today’s literary creation.However,a very important factor for literary development lies in summarizing and absorbing the creation of the predecessors’ experience to enrich modern literary creation, which is always believed as an irrefutable truth.
