A Comparative Study Of Han Yu And Li Ao’s Theory Of Human Nature

The problem of human nature is the core of Chinese philosophy, and the nature of the relationship is an important component of human nature. Research on human problem without on the investigation to the relationship between temperament.Since the pre Qin to the Han Dynasty,Scholars have carried on the thorough thinking to the problem of human nature,and gradually formed a good theory, theory of poor evil theory, have a good, no good without evil theory,theory with the doctrine of the theory of all kinds of human nature. To the Tang Dynasty, because of the popularity of Buddhism and Taoism, Confucian thoughts on by the Buddha, tao,especially the great challenge of Buddhism, which leads to the Confucian in the decline of the state. It is in this historical background, in the middle and late Tang Dynasty anti Buddhist warrior Han Yu and Li Ao with a Confucian heritage itself, to worship Confucianism and exclusion of Buddhism for the purpose, they absorb traditional Confucian theory of mind, Build with era characteristics unique theory of human nature.In contemporary academic circles, it is not a lot of research works on Han Yu and Li Ao’s theory of human nature, but mostly it is only a study of Han Yu and Li Ao, and a more detailed study of the relationship between Han Yu and Li Ao.revealing the influence of Han Yu of Li Ao thought of human nature, and Li Ao Han Yu on humanity on ideological criticism and inheritance.This paper is divided into seven parts:In the introduction part, first of all, gives a brief description of Han Yu, Li Ao before development of the Confucian Personality Ideology, and the study of the history of Confucianism and the history of Han Yu, Li Ao’s theory of human nature to combine, clarify inheritance of traditional Confucian ideology of Han Yu and Li Ao and sublation, and illustrate the present situation of the study of Han Yu and Li Ao thought.The first chapter mainly introduces the life of Li Ao and Han Yu, and the social background of their thoughts. The second is to analyze the relationship between them, pointing out that Li Ao,Han Yu is also a friend of the teacher.The second chapter studies Han Yu and Li Ao’s understanding of the connotation of the concept of temperament and their similarities and differences. First of all, this chapter explains Han Yu, Li Ao’s understanding of the concept of the nature, the sentiment, focusing on revealing their thoughts on the inheritance and development of the Confucian tradition of the theory of. Onthis basis, this chapter also analysis the similarities and differences between the two human nature and sentiment thought, and certainly Li Ao humanity theory critically inherited the Han Yu’s human nature theory.The third chapter mainly elaborates Li Ao and Han Yu’s understanding of the relationship between temperament and their similarities and differences. This chapter first affirmed the Han Yu and Li Ao pay more attention to the feelings, and Li Ao’s theory of human nature as to Han Yu of the three grades of human nature theory of integration and promotion. On the basis of this, this chapter also analyzes and studies from the perspective of the nature of the saint, where the nature,the feelings is different, and thus leads to the study of the two person’s temperament accomplishment method.The fourth chapter compares and analyses the Han Yu and Li Ao’s theory of temperament and the way of thinking.The monastic sanctification is important throughout the history of Confucianism.In this paper, the difference analysis of Han Yu and Li Ao temperament self-cultivation methods, pointed out that Han Yu of temperament self-cultivation methods ignore.And Li Ao is to make up for the the shortcoming of Han Yu’s idea, improve the accomplishment of sanctification path, Which explains the possibility of the existence of human nature. Secondly, this paper also analyzes they represent the thinking path, and through on the origin of the text and structure analysis, trying to clear their inheritance path difference of their human nature theory.The fifth chapter is the overall evaluation of the thought of Han Yu and Li Ao, this is mainly from two aspects of expansion: first, two the nexus of the Neo Confucianism in the history of status,is the pioneer of the Song Ming Neo Confucianism, Li Ao’s theory of human nature is opened the precedent of the dualism of Song Dynasty. Second, and points out that the promotion of "University", "moderate" status of Han Yu and Li Ao made important contributions, as the Song Dynasty formed four system has done the preparation work of theory.
