In the material form of sense, road connects different locations, people and goods move towards the routes in space. In the non-material form of sense, road has become a kind of metaphor and symbol of cultural change and cultural exchange between different human groups. This paper tries to do an anthropology research on the inside and outside road network of GanZhuang from the perspective of roadology, exploring the relationship between road development and community change. The road construction history of GanZhuang can be roughly divided into three decades, which are post road decade, National road213decade, Kunming-Bangkok International Road decade. Accordingly GanZhuang community also experienced a change process of GanZhuang Dam, GanZhuang Overseas Chinese Farm, and GanZhuang Subdistrict. For GanZhuang, whether the flow of population, or the movement of supplies, or the spread of culture, all of them have a close relationship with the construction and use of road. The connection of the community with the outside world stretches boundlessly because of the connectivity feature of road, and then expands to the wider political, economic and cultural context. GanZhuang as well continuously develops towards the process of globalization, and builds its own modernity in it.
