In order to better develop the higher education, the Chinese government carried out a series of reforms to the higher education system, and gradually formed a tiered system of higher education. At the same time to promote the development of higher education, there have been some problems---there is a large gap between students from different levels of colleges and universities. Therefore, in recent years, there has been a phenomenon of "graduate rush". It has been become a social problem, and attracted the attention of the government, schools, teachers, and society. This paper is divided into five chapters The first chapter is an introduction, describes the research background, purpose and significance, research methods and research object and content of the literature review; Chapter Ⅱ gives a detailed analysis of the specific reasons to take part in the postgraduate entrance examination; Chapter Ⅱ describes the performance of the continuation and reproduction of difference. And mainly from the graduate education process and results to illustrate the continuation of the differences; Chapter Ⅳ is about theoretical analysis of the continuation and reproduction of difference; Chapter Ⅴ is the conclusion and inadequate. The study found that, the choice of taking part in the postgraduate entrance examination is a helpless choice in the context of higher education stratification.
