Classroom teaching is the basic form and the most important platform of teaching. Thusthe efficiency of classroom teaching should be improved to raise the teaching efficiency.Based on the new curriculum reform in Hainan, this paper carries out a research on theefficiency of classroom Chinese teaching in senior high schools of Hainan Province and looksinto the current situation of Chinese classroom teaching in senior high schools of HainanProvince through questionnaires, finding out the inefficiency in senior high school classroomChinese teaching. On this basis, the author analyses the problem according to what she saw inher three-year senior high school classroom Chinese teaching and some specific cases, andthen reflects on the reasons for high school Chinese teaching inefficiency and puts forwardsome strategies.Focusing on Chinese teaching efficiency, this paper is divided into four chapters.Chapter I introduces the reasons for choosing this subject and the research background,content and significance, and defines the relevant concepts related to the efficiency of Chineseteaching.Chapter II analyses the current practice of improving classroom Chinese teaching. Thischapter is divided into three subsections. The first section introduces the new curriculumrequirements of enhancing the efficiency of classroom Chinese teaching; the second sectionexplores the teaching mode of classroom Chinese teaching in the21st century according tosome foreign teaching methods; section III concludes the characteristics of efficient Chineseteaching in the21st century.As the most important part of this paper, Chapter III analyses the phenomenon ofinefficient senior high school Chinese teaching in Hainan Province based on the survey dataand personal teaching experience, draws some conclusions that students lack interest inlearning Chinese as a result of improper teaching goals, unreasonable teaching methods,unwise teaching arrangement and dull classroom atmosphere, and then explores the reasonsfor inefficiencies in senior high school classroom Chinese teaching in Hainan Province in theaspects of teachers, students and society.Aimed at the reasons for inefficiencies in senior middle school classroom Chinese teaching in Hainan Province, Chapter IV explores the useful strategies of improving theefficiency of senior high school Chinese teaching in Hainan Province from the perspective ofteacher, such as changing the teaching concept, optimizing the teaching plans, setting theclassroom questions, improving teachers’ professional quality and creating a good classroomatmosphere, to stimulate students’ interest, help students master useful learning methods andimprove the ability of self-learning.
