The issue of women liberation has been considered as a problem connected withcommon humanity and can hardly be solved in a long-term. Women’s liberation is theprecondition of mankind’s liberation. Women’s liberation should be contained in thewhole mankind’s liberation.Western Marxist Feminism arose in the second wave ofFeminist Movement, they accepted the analysis about women being oppressed byClassic Marxism and then expressed their thoughts in women’s view.In 《Marxism and the Oppression of Women: Toward a Unitary Theory》, shecomded classic original works of women issues comprehensively, analyzed thedevelopment situation of socialist feminism theory, cautiously argued her ideologicalsystem that has important innovation significance, based on which analyzed thespecific issues of women being oppressed.Vogel supported solving the difficulties wemet in the feminism with Marxism methods. However, she also thought that traditionalMarxism theories are not completely perfect because they lack integral expression offemale issues. But, Marxism can still be used as a foundation of a new structure forfemale issues. In the new structure, a suitable location for women oppression andliberation can be found.Vogel’s theory is based on Marxism, her theory foundation is the theory that thesociety produces the total logistics activity again.Besides, she provided a new idea offeminist research for women in our country. At the same time, we must point out thelimitations in her theory, her theory was lack of basis of anthropology and specificanalysis and discussion for reality. What is more, she did not raise specific reformatorymeasures.
