As the Olympic Games and World Cup qualifier in Asia, the Asian Men’sBasketball Tournament brings together the elite Asian teams and excellent athletes, tosome extent, it reflects the trend of the development of basketball in Asia, and it isthus one of the highest level basketball games in Asia. On the27Asian Men’sBasketball Tournament in Manila on August1,2013, the Chinese team lost to "swornenemies" South Korea and Iran in the "death panels", again lost to Chinese Taipeiteam on the quarter-finals,thus losing the opportunity to take part in the2014WorldBasketball Cup in Spain. The fifth place also sets the worst record of the Chinesemen’s basketball team participating the Asian Championship in38years since1975.In modern basketball games, and center is often the cornerstone of a team onbothe the offensive and defensive ends, the center should not only have variousmeans of attack ability, rebounding ability and the secondary attack capability, butalso the organized attack and coordination ability, the attack should start and end withhim. A tall, strong, agile and well-balanced center can not only bring to the team moreoffensive and defensive choice, but also influence the future of the whole team.The27th Asia Men’s Basketball Tournament brings together the elite athletesand teams in various Asian countries. This article is based on the top five centers on5strong teams of the27th in the Asian men’s basketball tournament,by watching thevideo, expert interview, mathematical statistics, literature and logic analysis and otherresearch methods, the conclusion of the statistical analysis of the indicators is asfollows:1,Chinese basketball center players have certain advantages over South Koreanand Chinese Taipei in height, weight and age in the top four teams. The Centre’s agestructure reflects the overall alternate phase of the team.2,Chinese basketball center players are strong in both scoring ability and scoringmethods as well as scoring efficiency compared with other center players in the topfour teams, the overall level is quite stable in China. But the problem is that the teamrely too much on scoring center. 3, The Chinese men’s basketball team center’s attacking area tends to be way toofar from the rim and is bad for the overall game impact and the offensive rebound aswell.4, Despite the height advantage of the Chinese men’s basketball team center, they tend to be bad at grabbing rebounds due to the lack of the consciousness ofactive fighting, Also the pick and roll and covering ability need to be strengthenedstill.5, The Chinese men’s basketball team center’s passing needs to addressed assuch: first, the passing route choice is often unreasonable, the passing intentions aretoo obvious. Second, the passing and receiving way is too single, limited only to theway of hands over his head. Third, the passing time is always not suitable.6, The Chinese basketball team center does a bad job in the pick and roll, he andhis teammates lack tacit understanding. The in-and-out and cutting techniques shouldused more often to diversify our ways of attacking and thus causing more trouble tothe defensive players.
