University spirit is the soul of university cultural construction.We must considerthe question that how the different characters of university through own roleembodiment university spirit better during the time that constructing modernuniversity system and realizing the innovation of social management. The study is onthe basis of the multi-center governance theory and the role theory, expounding theconnotation of university spirit character and the form of expression, analyzing thehistorical evolution of the embodied characters of university spirit. Throughquestionnaire survey, we analysis the development situation and the problems existedin university spirit character, building the theory structure of multi-center rolegovernance of the university in our country. Finally, putting forward the practicalpath to make the university spirit character in our country perfectly.This paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter mainly elaborates thebackground、the meaning、the research status at home and abroad、the researchmethods and ideas of this study,aiming at preparing for the research behind. Thesecond chapter is on the basis of explaining the multi-center governance theory andthe relevant contents of role theory, the definition of determining university spirit is asfollows: The view and behavior of the different stakeholders of the university touniversity spirit. To point out the role of university spirit is timely and regional inmacroscopic and has the characteristics of fusion in microscopic. The role ofuniversity embodied by the people of university’s action and ideas. The developmentof university spirit character is divided into the “student” and “teacher” dual centerera,“Political label” single center and “Diversity” center era. The third chapter aims atthe multi-center embodied characters of university spirit to design the questionnaire,investigating the three main body of teachers、students and administrators, usingSPSS software to processing the survey data and analysis the problems and reasons ofthe embodied characters of university spirit. The fourth chapter mainly build themulti-center governance structure of the embodied characters of university spirit. Weneed to clear the main body of diversification, encourage the role play of equal rightsand to promote mutual consultation role conflict in the role of strengthening the diversity main body of the embodied characters of university spirit; To meet diverseneeds of different roles, to share the maximize benefit of different roles instrengthening the diversity targets of the embodied characters of university spirit. Toform the role of network governance, to explore the role relationship of mutualcooperation and to take the mode of the self-management in to action in the role ofstrengthening the self-organizing of the embodied characters of university spirit.Thefifth chapter put forward the path of the embodied characters of university spirit in theterms of enhancing school subject “autonomy” and optimizing the environment ofsocial governance. Enhancing the school subject “autonomy” is mainly to enhance thestudents’ autonomy、to strengthen the self-discipline of the teacher and improvingmanagers’ self-consciousness; Optimizing the environment of social governance ismainly improvement of the social value orientation, the innovation of the governmentmanagement mode and the optimization of the social environment of the talentevaluation. The last mainly summarizes this study, pointing out the innovation andshortage of this research and its prospect.
