Through a summary of lots of documents, this thesis aims to discuss that early music education has a positive influence on the physical and mental development of infants and young children in detail. First of all, to cultivate the musical perceptible ability of infants and young children with the combination of features of early music education, such as feasibility, necessity, gameplay, aesthetics. To carry out a comprehensive quality education through music perception in infants and young children. Then on the basis of physiological and psychological laws of development of infants and young children, the author tries to illustrate that early music education has strong importance and effect on the physical and mental development of infants and young children from the angle of psychology. Through early music education, while infants and young children enjoy and experience the beauty of music, they also develop and improve their cognitive ability, language ability, social skills, emotional control ability as well as motor ability and so on to promote the physical and mental development of infants and young children, which will be explained in detail.In terms of the situation on eight early childhood education centers in Shanghai that whether music education for infants and young children can promote their physical and mental development, the author conducted a survey research to collect various kinds of data, analyzed and made a conclusion. Then aiming at some existing deficiencies in early childhood education centers in Shanghai when they carry out music education on 0-3-year-old infants and young children, the author will quote suggestions from early childhood education centers, teachers and parents. The author hopes that this can be a reference for researchers on the research of early music education in the future in the aspect of teaching, which can help them teach more scientifically. At the same time, the author hopes that this can help to promote the innovation and exploration in the sector of early music education for infants and young children in our country as well as the sustainable scientific development of early music education for infants and young children.
