Integrating art, sports, music und dance in one, kickboxing is known as the perfect combination of "health" and "beauty" and the sublimation of combat exercise and aerobics, attracting many college students who lead the fashion. As one of the most popular college physical education elective courses, it not only enriches the contents of quality education, broadens the means of implementing of quality education, but also promotes the overall implementation of university quality education. This paper takes the deans of PE department and students in ordinary colleges as the object of investigation. It mainly uses the method of documentary data, testing, survey, and mathematical statistics, analyzing statistics by SPSS13.0statistical software to discuss the feasibility of promoting kickboxing in colleges of Langfang city and the factors affecting its practice.According to the research, kickboxing not only benefits the students’ body shaping and function, and their physical ability but also has a good effect on mental health. Kickboxing teachers are young and energetic with higher education but seldom have the chance of participating in formal training. The students with clear motivation have shown their satisfaction to this course but due to lack of teaching facilities and equipment, the actual demand still exists. Kickboxing, combined with boxing, martial arts and dance, is an enrichment and supplement to the current teaching material. In view of the current situation of implementing kickboxing in colleges, schools should invest more in the sports infrastructure development, further improve the teaching environment, and pay more attention to kickboxing textbooks. Meanwhile, schools should provide more training opportunities to promote teachers’ professionalization, building up the ranks of kickboxing teachers. Schools should also encourage male students to join in kickboxing, so that more students could enjoy the fun and fitness that kickboxing brings.
