Analysis On Currently The Problems And Ways For The Private Colleges To Develop Sustainably

With the acceleration of economic globalization and the popularization of higher education, students are faced with more choices for higher education, such as public higher education, private higher education and foreign study, etc. Under the current environment of severe competitiveness, how to realize sustainable development is an urgent and realistic problem for the average private colleges to solve. Therefore, this article takes the sustainable development of private colleges as the study content. Firstly, it defines the concepts of private colleges, sustainable development and the sustainable development of private colleges in this paper and analyzes the theoretical basis and practical significance for the private colleges to develop sustainably. Secondly, it analyzes the problems and the reasons which the private colleges are faced with in the process of realizing sustainable development from the three dimensions of the nation, the society and the private colleges. Finally, it brings forth ways for private colleges to realize sustainable development from five aspects. The author argues that, along with the development of the multiple education forms, private colleges are confronted with several competitions. To develop their own core competitiveness in the competition is the only way to achieve sustainable development. From the aspect of the nation, the government should fulfill the responsibilities as a responsible government to supply a relatively loose external environment. From the aspect of the private colleges, the administration should set up reasonable orientation according to the need of the market, optimize the internal governance structure, break through the bottleneck of finance, lay emphasis on the formation of school-running characteristics and the improvement of talent-training quality, run colleges independently within the law and promote the formation of its core competitiveness from the aspect of brand building so as to realize sustainable development.
