Since 2004, the orienteering was included into the quality education of sport skills education[1], it moves rapidly in the development of Beijing primary and middle schools, but most schools developed slowly and unsatisfactory.We selected three representative schools from Beijing middle schools for the affiliated Middle School, which is middle school attached to Northern Jiaotong University, Beijing bayi middle school, Beijing nineteenth middle school. With the scientific theory of sports training, 20 samples taken from each school were investigated, to explore the causes of unsatisfactory results. The Research builds an orienteering competition capability structure, which is the model of middle school students and factor analysis of the skill index.Study on orienteering competition capability structure of weight, on the physical agility, skill, tactics, sports psychology, sports intellect five aspects are analyzed, to explore the meaning of the indicators. To in-depth analyze problems of existing cognitive in competition capability structure, which can established a model of athletic science ability, lay a foundation for primary and secondary school students, for the future-oriented research and reserve personnel selection, to provide a reference for future school orienteering training and promote the development of Chinese orienteering.This research studies through questionnaires, interviews,statistical analysis, field methods of scientific research method,to determine orienteering students ’ ability weight of levelⅠ, as well as weight of level Ⅱ. Build students ’ability orienteering competitions index structure model,which have two indicate levels, levelⅠand levelⅡ. Skills has 7 secondary indexes, physical agility, tactics have 2secondary indexes, sport psychology and sports intellect has one secondary indexes. Probe into the competitive ability of the indicators using hierarchical model to make sure the players ability to each indicator.In summery, each level at level three. Cross country run technical and punch card tactics of Beijing bayi middle school’s level have had reached grade level, with high level athletes. Other schools should strive to improve their skills.Among respondents, middle school attached to Northern Jiaotong University focus on skills training, Beijing bayi middle school focus on physical training, and balance between the nineteenth school in Beijing. By on athletic ability level index that results from evaluating the weights, physical agility 41.7%, skills 38.7%, tactical 5%, sports psychology5%, sports intellect 10%.Three schools based on the competitive ability of five weighted average number of levelⅠ, that of competition capability structure weight. This result is the sake of directional movement of middle school students in Beijing,to establish a preliminary index. Physical agility and skills are the most weight of those indicators, of more than 80%athletic ability, each about 40%. So we should weigh their weight in training, should focus on both, and also be evaluated. Fully excavating each factor role in athletic ability, making training more scientific andrationalization.Through analysis of those 7 indicators of skills in levelⅡ, dualistic structure model of orienteering skills were obtained, respectively from the perspective of unit design factors and experience of unit design factors. Combined with dualistic structure model and levelⅠ, analysis of physical agility, skills, tactics, sports psychology and sports intellect of orienteering middle school students, we finally got the orienteering athletes competitive ability structure model.
