The relationship of rule and freedom is dialectic,they are both contradictory and closely related.As Theodore Roosevelt said:"Order without liberty and liberty without order are equally destructive. "Although the establishment of rules is only a small part of early childhood education, it directly affects the quality of children’s games. The purpose of this research is to the specific situation of the establishment of the game rules of Role play area,and explore the positive and negative aspects of the behavior of teachers and children in this process. But, in the meantime, something that are negative must be existed and need to improve. I hope that these analyses of surface phenomena can help to put forward some suggestions and countermeasures.The first part of this article is introduction, which includes the reason, theoretical and practical significance of this study, the definition of key concepts, collection and analysis of Chinese and English literatures and research design.The second part is just Chapters I. This part discussed theoretically the significance and value of the game rules in the role area.The appropriate rules are conducive to ensure the activities carried out in an orderly fashion, explore the division and cooperation of roles in-depth,and facilitate the development of role-play.Further,Rule learning is also one of the important contents of children’s social development.The rules of the game can be used to help children to remove the self-center, to learn self-control, to promote the development of social cognition and social behavior skills.The third part consists of Chapters II and III.This part analyzes and summarizes the collected data,it is also the main part of the article.The results of the collation of data is presented in the following two aspects:the status quo of establishment of rules and the rule building process.Based on the content of the second chapter,the third chapter mainly analyzes the existing problems and the influencing factors in the process of establishing the rules.The last part of the article is the fourth chapter,putting forward suggestions against the problems.Above all,the rules of the game should be based on prior experience of young children.Then,teachers should spent time observing the game.In addition,when establishing rules,we should allow for unforeseen circumstances,leaving the children some explore space.The last is the reflection of this study.Due to various subjective and objective reasons, there are many deficiencies in this study,which needs to be improved.
