A Study On Honesty Behaviors Of Senior High School Students And Its Effects Among The School Education

By using literature, investigation and mathematical statistics, this paper researches into honesty behavior of senior high school students and influencing factors among the school. The subjects are students of the first secondary school from Ganzhou, Jiangxi province. Under the guidance of ideal model, the paper designs questionnaires strictly in accordance with designing theories, principles and procedures of psychometrics and decides on all dimensions and their variables, and works out pre-tested questionnaires. The collected data has been analyzed by discrimination index of items, population correlation and mutual correlation, then form the formal questionnaire, which been surveyed in the first secondary school of Ganzhou. The results are as follows:(1)Through interviews, semi-open questionnaire and analysis of pre-test questionnaire, the study suggest that honesty behaviors of senior high school students are composed of learning behaviors, communicating behaviors, and economic behaviors. The influencing factors of honesty behaviors consists of six aspects, positive ethical culture, important peoples’ positive behavior, the negative influences of the important people’ s behavior, contents of integrity education, method of integrity education and integrity evaluation.(2)The reliability and validity of the formal questionnaire demonstrates that: homogeneity coefficient of questionnaires of honesty behaviors is 0.760, and split-half reliability is 0.822; homogeneity coefficient of questionnaires of honesty behavior’s effects amounts to 0.915 and split-half reliability is 0.894. The KMO value, as the construct of criterion validity of the formal questionnaire, is obtained. KMO of honesty behaviors is 0.776, and KMO of honesty behavior’s effects is 0.913. The results indicate a good reliability and validity of formal questionnaire.(3) The honesty behavior of senior high students characteristics of learning behaviors is the best, communicating behaviors is second, and economic behaviors is the worst.The difference of learning honesty behaviors is significant among different grades. The difference of honesty behaviors in all dimensions and total questionnaire is extremely significant among different honesty education in schools.(4)The difference of effects of the honesty behavior is significant among different grades in positive ethical culture, important peoples’ positive behavior, the negative influences of the important people’ s behavior, contents of integrity education, method of integrity education and total questionnaire. The difference of the negative influences of the important people’ s behavior is significant among different occupations of father and mother. The difference of honesty behaviors’ effects at schools in all dimensions and total questionnaire is extremely significant among different honesty education in schools.(5)The positive ethical culture, important peoples’ positive behavior, the negative influences of the important people’ s behavior, contents of integrity education, method of integrity education are significant relate with learning behaviors, communicating behaviors, and economic behaviors. Integrity evaluation is significant relate with earning honesty behaviors and economic honesty behaviors and irrelevant with communicating honesty behaviors. Honesty behaviors can be predict by its effects.
