The Present Situation And Development Of Volunteer Service In Colleges And Universities In Guangdong Province

After years of exploration and practice, Chinese university volunteer service has had a vigorous development. Consequently, the number of volunteers keeps swelling and exerts an great influence on society, which has become the main force of the youth volunteer service.However, since the shortness of carrying out university volunteer service in time and restrictions in many factors, there are still many problems demanding prompt solution.Therefore, the thesis is based on the analysis and research about problems of university volunteer service, and gives suggestions, which has quite vital practical significance.By the application of normative analysis and the method of sampling survey, the thesis takes some universities in Guangdong province as example and university volunteer service as the research content and makes a brief discussion about the basic concept, the basic theory and the development history of university volunteer service. At the same time, on the basis of a comprehensive understanding and evaluation of the status quo of university volunteer service in Guangdong province, the thesis analyzes existing problems and its reasons, and finally puts forward relevant suggestions and draws lessons from the experience of some developed countries such as USA, German, Japan, and Korea etc, which provides a reference for realizing the sustainable development of university volunteer service. From the perspective of cognitive status, participating state and management situation, and also based on the government, university, volunteer organization and volunteer, the thesis presents its arguments, analyzes problems and finally puts forward suggestions as follows: formulate related policies and regulations, build incentive guarantee mechanism, shift work idea,increase the supporting intensity of volunteer service, strengthen own construction, promote the credibility of voluntary service organization, enhance the specialization level and the capacity of voluntary service.
