Research On The Development Of Agricultural Tourism In Wenzhou City And Proposed Solutions

Agricultural tourism is a new form of tourism, which utilizes agricultural natural resources, cultural landscape, agricultural products, agricultural production process and agricultural unique facilities and equipment and other agricultural projects as the basis, to attract tourists to do various tourism activities, such as sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, local life experience, vacation and learning.Wenzhou, located in the southeast of Zhejiang, near the mountain and the sea, full of ecological resources, rare plants and animal species, and wide range of agricultural products, has laid natural foundation for the development of agricultural tourism in Wenzhou city. A number of agricultural sightseeing attractions have been developed in the recent years, and that greatly improves the efficiency of the local rural economy, and promotes the development of tourism in Wenzhou. At the same time, this has played as a good role model for the local ecological environment protection and rural civilization development. However, the shortcomings and deficiencies, which have been displayed in the course of development of agriculture tourism, have become main obstacles for the agricultural tourism in Wenzhou city to reach its maturity and scalability. Therefore, a thorough and deep study on Wenzhou agriculture sightseeing tourism has a significant impact on its present and future development.Based on summary of agricultural sightseeing tourism related theory and knowledge, research on the development of tourism agriculture at home and abroad, investigation on agricultural tourism resources and study on the current situation of the agricultural tourism development in Wenzhou, this article examines the issues and puts forward the suggestions and solutions. The main findings are as below. (1) Based on the data and statistics provided by Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of agriculture and statistics, the status of the development of agricultural tourism in Wenzhou city is summarized. The lessons learned can serve as the guideline to manage existing agricultural tourism practice. (2) In light of the current situation of the development of agricultural tourism inWenzhou City, the article summarizes some existing modes of Wenzhou agricultural tourism and does SWOT analysis and statistical analysis of the questionnaire. The results show as the following. In spite of some achievements has been made recently, there are still problems and issues in the development of Wenzhou agricultural tourism. For example tourist consumption is not sufficient, satisfaction of tourists is low, infrastructure is weak, not enough special entertainment projects and types, lack of publicity, not enough use of folk and culture elements, and people working in agricultural are not well-educated enough. These issues have become restricting factors for healthy and smooth development of agricultural tourism in Wenzhou city.(3)Based on the findings of the study, the article summarized the issues of development of agricultural tourism in Wenzhou city, and provides suggestions and solutions to solve these issues and promote agricultural sightseeing in Wenzhou City. It includes pushing the government to actively play the leading and guiding role, highlighting unique features to improve the quality, strengthening industry management to standardize and improve the service, establishing the modern agricultural sightseeing tourism marketing mechanism and etc. Only in this way, can we achieve the sustainable, healthy, rapid development of agricultural tourism in Wenzhou city.
