With the development of piezoelectric smart materials, the research of piezoelectric impedance technology theory and application is becoming more and more deeply. In recent years, the piezoelectric impedance technology has been applied in many fields. However, the piezoelectric impedance technique is applied to earthquake prediction is rarely reported, and the use of the piezoelectric impedance technology at damage detecting still in the initial stage, the damage only can be determine as a state rather than a process. In this paper the feasibility analysis of earthquake prediction based on the piezoelectric impedance technology is been studied, we can understand the health status of the rock by real-time monitoring to rock compression state in tectonic movement, so as to achieve the goal of earthquake prediction. The piezoelectric analysis of rock under different loading conditions in ANSYS was done, the piezoelectric impedance sensor was designed and manufactured, the experiment platform was set up, and the quantitative analysis of rock health status under stress was done based on the neural network technology. The result about the study as follow:1)The principle of tectonic earthquake and existing methods of earthquake prediction were summarized and the inverse effect of piezoelectric materials was introduced. The relationship of piezoelectric coupling impedance and mechanical impedance system by combining the piezoelectric coupling model was elicited, the basic principle of earthquake prediction based on piezoelectric impedance was expounded.2)The piezoelectric simulation process in ANSYS was introduced, the static analysis and piezoelectric analysis of piezoelectric ceramics for simulating piezoelectric harmonic response analysis on rock block sticked piezoelectric ceramics under pressure were done, electrical impedance changes of rock under pressure was studied, and the data was processed by impedance root mean square deviation method and impedance covariance method.3)The piezoelectric impedance transducer is designed for the earthquake prediction study. The experimental scheme was determined, the concrete block is made, the experiment platform was set up with piezoelectric impedance analyzer and TYB-2000 pressure testing machine. The different strength of test block,different materials of base and different patch way experimental data were analyzed.4)The basic theory of artificial neural network technology and design method were introduced. The principle rock loading state recognition based on neural network was analyzed. Experimental atudy analysis flow chart was made. The procedure of neural net work to identify for the finite element analysis and experimental was designed.
