Qinling Mountains is a natural boundary of the Chinese Oriental and Palearctic region,with high insect diversity and overlapping of Palaearctic and Oriental Faunas. It is also a key area to study the origin and evolution of Chinese Flora and Fauna. However, the weevil fauna of Qinling Mountains has not been thoroughly researched. This study aims to preliminary find out weevil fauna in Qinling Mountains of Shaanxi province. Discuss and analyze the faunal component and distribution patterns, providing basic data for the follow-up studies. Based on the specimen information and historical document of weevil in Qinling of Shaanxi province, there are in total 7 families 124 genera 227 species(including subspecies) recorded from Qinling Mountains, which includes: 3 new record tribe, Anthonomini C.G Thomson,Clitostylini Voss, Mecopini Lacordaire; 16 new record genera, Aclees Schoenherr,Agomadaranus Voss, Anthonomus Germar, Ceutorhynchus Germar, Compsapoderus Voss,Cycnotrachelodes Voss, Demimaea Pascoe, Dermatoxenus Marshall, Exrhynchites Voss,Larinus Dejean, Megamecus Reitter, Phacephorus Schoenherr, Phymatapoderus Voss,Physapoderus Jekel, Pseudallapoderus Legalov, Phylaitis Pascoe; 29 new record species,Aclees cribratus Gyllenhal, Agomadaranus melanostictus Fairmaire, Anthonomus pomorum Linnaeus, Apoderus pseudofidus Legalov, Byctiscus rugosus Gebler, Ceutorhynchus albosuturalis Roelofs, Compsapoderus dimidiatus Faust, Compsapoderus erythropterus Gmelin, Cycnotrachelodes cyanopterus Motschulsky, Cycnotrachelodes sitchuanensis Legalov, Cyllorhynchites ursulus rostralis Voss, Demimaea fascicularis Roelofs,Dermatoxenus caesicollis Gyllenhal, Diglossotrox alashanicus Suvorov, Eocentrocorynus breviclavus Legalov, Exrhynchites puberulus Faust, Eulixus obliquivittis Voss, Megamecus urbanus Gyllenhal, Paracycnotrachelus consimilis Voss, Parasynaptopsis lespedezae koreanus Sawada & Morimoto, Phyllonomeus griseopilosus Roelofsm, Phyllonomeus scabrirostris Faldermann, Phylaitis maculiventris Voss, Phymatapoderus euflavimanus Legalov, Piazomias globulicollis Faldermann, Piazomias lineicollis K?no & Morimoto,Pleurocleonus sollicitus Gyllenhal, Pseudallapoderus funebris Voss, Pseudocneorhinus subcallosus Voss; 1 Chinese new record species, Nanophyes brevis obscurus Zherikin; 11 Shaanxi endemic species, Apoderus kresli Legalov, Byctiscus qingensis Legalov,Erycapoderus angulipennis shaanxinsis Legalov, Involvulus baojiensis Legalov, Labaninus meregallii Pelsue, Piazomias abdominisulcus Chao, Piazomias longicollis Chao, Piazomias robustus Chao, Piazomias shaanxiensis Chao, Pseudocyllorhynus shaanxiensis Legalov,Shirahoshizo tuberosus Chen; 76 Chinese endemic species. In the World Zoogeographical regions, the proportion of combination of Palearctic and Oriental is tiptop which occupy 53.74 percent, while in the Chinese Zoogeographic regions, the proportion of combination of Central China-North China-south China-southwest China-Inner Mongolia-Xinjiang-Northeast-Qinghai Tibet is tiptop which occupy 28.64 percent. Most weevil specimens are collected from May to August. The altitudinal distribution range of weevil is 386-3000m; overall trends shows that the weevil under 1500 m altitude is more abundant.
