With the continuous development of enterprises, the engineering machinery industries will generate a large number of product design knowledge. Tacit knowledge, as a kind of corporate asset, should be effectively managed and reused. However, as Chinese traditional manufacturing industries, the informatization of the construction machinery enterprise is not high, and advanced product design philosophy is seldom used. Due to backward knowledge management, plenty of resources has been wasted.Product design knowledge of core drill is effectively classified and displayed based on the idea of knowledge management technology. Product parametric design method for core drill based on knowledge is proposed. Using a core drill's component as the case, the software system has been developed. The main results of this study are as follows:(1)The structure of core drill parametric design system is proposed. The function module and workflow are described. The key technologies involved in system are researched.(2)The knowledge base is established relying on the classification, presentation and storage methods of core drill design knowledge. Dynamic programming and collaborative filtering method for core drill design knowledge reusing is researched to seek different kinds of product knowledge carriers. According to knowledge file of subscribers' using habit, knowledge recommendation mechanism is established to dynamically recommend interested knowledge information. Expert system is developed to improve users' experience.(3)The model base is established based on the method of knowledge expression for core drill's model. Case-based reasoning method for model knowledge reusing is researched to increase the efficiency of searching similar product model. Product parametric design method for core drill based on knowledge is verified by using core drill power head as an example.(4)The system is established by using Solidworks 2015, Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2008 database. The parametric design system for core drill is developed to verify the mechanisms and key technologies in this dissertation.
