Taking the evergreen needle plants, Pinus taiwanensis of subtropical zone in Wuyishan Nature Reserve, Jiang Xi Province as research objects, according actual distribution, set 1200m,1400m,1600m,1800m,2000m five altitudes. The relationship fine root biomass, carbon (N), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), carbon nitrogen ratio (C:N), specific root length (SRL), specific root area (SRA), root tissue density (RTD), the mean fine root diameter (AvgDiam) were studied with the elevation, seasonal variation and soil nutrient. The main results were as follows:(1) Fine root biomass significantly with changes in altitude,1800m plot of the average fine root biomass highest (222.63g/m2),2000m plot fine root biomass least (118.3 g/m2); Taiwanensis fine root biomass appeared to decrease after the last increase and then decreased in the 1200m-2000m altitude gradient; Fine root biomass in June and September to be higher than in December and March, but there is no significant difference in seasons (P> 0.05).(2) There is significant difference in elevations and seasonal changes of Pinus taiwanensis's fine root functional traits, SRL at 2000m elevation was lowest (829.21 g/cm), the highest at 1600m (1128.05 g/cm), there was significant difference 1600m with 1200m,1800m,2000m in SRL,(P<0.05), In addition to 1400m and 1600m, March, June, September, SRL was significantly higher than in December (P<0.05); The lowest value of SRA at 1800m (234.11 g/cm2), the highest at 1600m (330.97g/cm2), the SRA was significant difference between 1600m and 1200m,1800m,2000m (P<0.05), and the elevation of SRA was significantly higher than that in September (P<0.05);The lowest value of RTD at 1600m (0.14 g/cm2), the highest at 2000m (0.21g/cm3), followed by 1200m(0.19 g/cm3),1200m,1800m were significantly higher than 1400m,1600m, 2000m (P<0.05);The highest AvgDiam at 2000m (1.13mm), the lowest value at 1800m (0.86mm), there was significant difference between in December and the other months at 1200m and 1800m (P<0.05); SRL and SRA increased at first and then decreased with the increase of altitude gradient, and RTD decreased and then increased and then decreased with the increase of altitude gradient.(3) The relationship fine root biomass and SRL, SRA, RTD, AvgDiam are closed, in which fine root biomass and SRL, SRA highly significant negative correlation (P<0.01), a significant positive correlation with the RTD (P<0.01), SRL and SRA significant positive correlation (P<0.01), SRA and RTD has a significant negative correlation (P <0.01).(4) The average C,N,P,NP content of fine root were 488.89mg/g,9.29mg/g, 0.39mg/g?54.53%?24.55%. Two-way ANOVA showed that the elevation, seasonal, altitude season of fi ne root C, N, P, C:N,N:P influence has reached a significant level (P<0.01); Fine root C and N is extremely significant positive correlation (P<0.01), With CN is extremely significant negative correlation (P<0.01), There was no significant correlation between P and C, N, C:N;(5) There is no significant correlation between soil C and fine root C, P and N:P(P> 0.05), but with the fine root N exist significant positive correlation (P<0.05); Soil N and fine root C,P are not significant correlation (P>0.05), but it is closed with fine root N, C:N, it explained the variation of fine root N, C:N respectively 27% and 26%; No significant correlation between soil P and root C, N and C:N, but was significantly correlated with fine root P, N:P (P<0.05); Soil C:N and fine root C, N, C:N not exist significant correlation (P>0.05), fine root P and N:P were significant correlation (P< 0.05); There was no significant correlation between soil C, N, P, C:N, pH and SRL, SRA, RTD AvgDiam (P>0.05).(6) Fine roots C, C:N and SRR has a significant negative correlation (P<0.05), There was no significant correlation between fine root N, P, N:P and SRR;There is a significant correlation SRR and RTD, AvgDiam(.P<0.05), but the correlation between the SRA, SRL no significant; fine root and leaf functional traits of Pinus taiwanensis exhibited varying degrees of contact, fine root N, N:P and leaf N, P, C:N were significantly correlated, Fine rootN explained the variation of N?P?C:N 33%,22%,35%; There was no significant correlation between SLA and SRL, SRA, RTD, AvgDiam (P>0.05).
