From the time when geochemical block was proposed up to now,although the history of development is only two or three decades,it is of great significance in the study of basic theory and mineral exploration.On the one hand,it distinguished the difference between the huge deposits and the general deposits from the perspective of material supply,and expanded horizons of geologists.On the other hand,the theory of geochemical block was used for resources prediction and analyzing mineralizing potential,which is helpful to narrow the prospecting target,and achieves a breakthrough of prospecting in the area with lower degree in studying.The study area is located in the southern part of tectonic units of Baoshan-Zhenkang block,which is an important part of the Tethys structural belt of the Sanjiang.All kinds of minerals are abundant in the area,and the Luziyuan Cu-Pb-Zn-Fe polymetallic deposit have been reached the super-large scale.Because the work on the mineral exploration starts lately,and only a few deposits are discovered in the stage of prospecting.The study area has a large potential for prospecting mineral resources.Therefore,based on the soil geochemical data,the paper used the technology and method of geochemical block for delineating the geochemical block of the study area and drawing the diagram of geochemical block.According to tracking the trend of enriching elements,the metallogenic prognosis was realized in the area.Furthermore,we calculated the resources and the potential resources of ore-forming elements,and evaluated quantitatively the potential of geochemical block.In this paper,we use the method of factor analysis to divide 12 elements into 3 elements assemblage.Combined the actual condition of the area,the Pb and Zn are chosen as the ore-forming elements.The outlier that was beyond the triples variance was removed.Anomaly threshold of ore-forming elements is calculated.The blocks were divided into six rank,and the value of every rank was calculated.According to the rank,we drew the diagram of geochemical and family tree,which is used to track the enriching trend of elements and evaluated qualitatively the potential of mineralization in the area;in the end,according to the explored mineral resources,metallogenetic ratio was calculated.So we could predict the resources of blocks that are in the lower degree of research.The mineralization potential of the blocks is evaluated quantitatively,then the prospecting area determined.The work that have done in this paper is helpful to narrow the prospecting target and guide the search of the deposits in the study area.
