With the development of wind power and solar power generation technology,small power generation system has been applied rapidly,especially in the complementary advantages of both power generation device is widely used in the mountains and island.The main work of this paper is as follows: First,this paper analyzes the characteristics of wind energy and solar energy,and introduces the application scope and application prospect of renewable energy in detail.Second,different types of solar cells and their working principles are introduced.Third,different types of wind turbines and their working principles are introduced.Fourth,the battery charging characteristics and charging methods are analyzed in detail,combined with the characteristics of photovoltaic cells,a multi-mode charging method is put forward to charge lead-acid batteries.Fifth,this paper introduces the principle of the maximum power point tracking algorithm,analyzes several main power point tracking control algorithms,and compares the advantages and disadvantages of the different algorithms.Sixth,the hardware of the maximum power point tracking controller is designed.The hardware circuit mainly adopts the 8 bit microchip microcontroller PIC16F874.Wind and solar hybrid power generation system can be a lot of research content,through the combination of different hardware devices,and it can be compared with the previous analog components used in the separation of the controller components show better flexibility.Through the study of the whole power supply system,it is conducive to the formation of a series of products to promote the use of solar energy,wind energy,industrialization,marketization,and proper utilization of wind energy and solar energy to provide a precondition.This paper first analyzes the characteristics of renewable energy,and then analyzes the solar power generation system and wind power generation system.The output characteristics of PV array is the most basic problem in the research of photovoltaic system.How to make the wind solar hybrid power generation system work with maximum efficiency,this paper focuses on the analysis and determination of the maximum power point of solar panels.China is a big energy consuming country.Due to the continuous promotion of solar power and wind power,it has a strong effect on clean energy utilization in China,and the current domestic small solar power and wind power generation is mainly used in road lighting,power supply and other mountainous areas.But this part of the market on the reliability and stability of products is not high,and the meteorological observation or communication base on power supply requirements more stringent,on the market and the lack of this part of the product,so the rapid development of the corresponding system,to seize the special needs of the market is very necessary.
