Liaoning Xianrendong Nature Reserve is located in the southern part of Qianshan Mountains and it's the transitional zone of North China flora and northeast flora.The natural Pinus densiflora in the reserve is the largest in Asia.The natural reserve has important value in ecological tourism and scientific research.It's necessary to investigate the insect resources comprehensively and enhance the study on the biodiversity protection.Some species of Coleoptera can be used as a factor in monitoring environmental changes.The Author collected the Coleoptera insects from Liaoning Xianrendong Nature Reserve in May-September 2016 and made a preliminary study on the diversity based on the ground beetles collected by two kinds of traps.Based on the previous data,the author selected 6 different forest types:type ?,type ?,type ?,type IV,type V,type VI.The author also selected 2 different soil types:Typical brown soil and Brown soil.21193 Coleoptera insects were collected.The results are as follows:1.Beetles resources analysis;21193 Coleoptera insects were collected belonging to 13 superfamilies 39 families 178 genus 250 species.The most species and quantity of five familimes are Staphylinidae,Scarabaeidae Carabidae,Histeridae,Silphidae.There are 5 Chinese new records:Epuraea hisamatsui Jelinek,Scaphidium amurense Solsky,Oedemera amurensis Heyden,Luperomorpha pryeri(Baly),Asphalmus japonicus Sharp.There are 5 Liaoning new records:Asaphidion semilucidum(Motschulsky),Pectocera for tune i Candeze,Haptoncus ocularis(Fairmaire),Omosita discoidea(Fabricius),Cryphaeus barbellatus Wu and Ren?2.We analysised the species similarity and the difference significance based on the ground beetles collected by two methods under different forest types.The species similarity coefficient is highest between type ? and type?,The similarity between type VI and other five forest types is relatively low.But the overall similarity coefficient is greater than 0.6.There is no significant difference in species diversity between the 6 forest types.3.We analysised the temporal dynamics of species abundance,species diversity and evenness index based on the ground beetles collected by two methods under different forest types:In addition to type VI,the species diversity index,and the evenness index are higher in the other 5 forest types.The species and diversity index of type VI are the lowest in the 6 forest types and the time dynamic change is intense.4.Habitat Similarity Analysis in Xianrendong Natural Reserve:The cluster analysis of 6 different forest types is carried out by using the method of group connection and inter group connection:One group is type ?,type?,the other group is type ?,type IV,type ?,type ?.5.Analysis of correlation between the common species:There is a positive correlation between Anotylus laticornis(Sharp,1874)and Ocypus lewisius Sharp,1847,r=0.260.There is a positive correlation between Onthophagus uniforms Heyden,1886 and Hister sedakovi Marseul,1861 r=0.619.There was a negative correlation between Onthophagus uniformis Heyden,1886,Ocypus lewisius Sharp,1847 and Anotylus laticornis(Sharp,1874),r=-0.35,-0.06.6.Diversity analysis based on ground beetles collected by two methods under different soil types:The similarity between the two soil types is high,and the similarity coefficient was up to 0.716.There was no significant difference in species diversity,species richness and evenness index.
