Some Improvements And Applications Of CUSUM Control Chart

Control chart is an important tool in statistical process control. Cumulative Sum (CUSUM) control chart, which is based on the sequential probability ratio test, is an effective chart in three kinds of basic control charts. In view of some practical problems with the use of CUSUM chart, we mainly undertake the following three studies:First of all, the performance of CUSUM control chart is closely related to the selected parameters in the practical process. Therefore, we apply CUSUM control chart to the perfor-mance testing data of electric motor productive process to illustrate the use of CUSUM chart in this paper. Using CUSUM control chart to monitor the performance testing data of electric motor productive process can avoid shortcomings of the traditional monitoring methods, and reduce the loss rate of productions.Secondly, in the application of using CUSUM chart to practical production process mon-itoring, we should learn more about underlying distribution and shift size, which is difficult.This paper introduce adaptive nonparametric CUSUM (ANC) control chart to detect distribu-tion free data and various magnitudes of mean shifts. We use the process monitoring that apply ANC control chart to the online performance testing of electric insulation as an example of the ANC control chart instructions.Thirdly, we need a multi-functional control chart who is distribution free, performs well for both small and large shifts and is sampling intelligently. We combine with VSI technology to propose VSI-ANC control chart to resolve all of above wishes in this paper. Simulation study of reference parameters values and performance comparisons are introduced in detail.An illustrative classical example is also present to demonstrate the well implementation of this chart.
