Xinhe survey is located in the Tianshannan area of the northern Tarim basin,and lies in the joint area between the Kuqa depression and Shay a uplift where the faults well developed and hydrocarbon accumulated.However,the Sinopec did not get effective results of the structural trap exploration at the earlier stage,so it is vital that to carry out the exploration which aiming at the subtle trap in Xinhe survey.Combing the former study of the structural,the faults and the sedimentary facies with the seismic hydrocarbon detection technology,we predict the areas of energy attenuation abnormity in the Mesozoic target layers in Xinhe survey,and analyze its possibility of the petroleum entrapment in this paper.When the seismic wave propagates through the hydrocarbon-bearing layers,especially the gas-bearing layers,which have a bigger absorption and attenuation coefficients,it will lose its energy and higher frequency,and enhance its lower frequency relatively.Then we use the Discrete Fourier Transformation cut the Xinhe 3-D seismic data brick into discrete energy data slices every 5Hz,in order to apply the seismic hydrocarbon detection technology into Mesozoic target layers.We think it is possible to form a composite trap reservoir which under the joint control of faults,structure and lithology in the Triassic Halahatang Formation in Xinhe survey.The Baxigai Formation and the upper Shushanhe Formation in the Lower cretaceous also have the possibility to form a composite trap reservoir which under the joint control of faults,structure and lithology in Xinhe survey.The applicability research and prediction results of the seismic hydrocarbon detection technology in this paper could have a significant meaning in the guidance of the further the subtle trap exploration in the Tianshannan area,even the whole Tarim basin.
