Potassium is one of the essential elements in plants.For China,a large agricultural country,the importance of potassium is self-evident.However,potassium salt is one of the most important mineral resources in China,so it is very important to explore and develop potassium salt.Qaidam Basin is the main producing area of potash in China.At present,the exploitation of potassium salt has been carried out on a large scale just in the middle and eastern part of the basin where the exploitation is easy.Due to the low level of research and relatively poor development environment,most of the Saline Lake resources have not been developed and utilized in the Heibei concave,western part of the basin.With the gradual improvement of the western development conditions,it will promote the development and utilization of Saline Lake resources in Western china.Good economic benefits can be obtained after large-scale development.The paper is based on this background.From the perspective of "coexistence of oil and potassium " theory,based on the favorable geological conditions for mineralization of the potassium bearing brine reservoir,underground structure,stratigraphic characteristics,basin evolution history,basic geophysical features,the mineralization mechanism of potassium brine reservoir was discussed.Combined with the structural geology,geophysics,sedimentology,basin analysis theories guidance,based on the high precision electromagnetic spectrum,logging and oil and gas exploration in the research and interpretation of seismic data,seismic attributes analysis,prediction and analysis of special processing model of broadband constrained impedance inversion of Geophysics based on the method.Under the guidance of structural geology,geophysics,sedimentology and basin analysis,based on the study and interpretation of the high precision electromagnetic spectrum,logging and seismic data,geophysical analysis methods such as seismic attribute analysis and model wide band impedance inversion were used to predict the formation of potassium bearing brine.Based on the geophysical methods,the geophysical response characteristics of the potassium bearing brine layer relative to the surrounding rocks are characterized by high velocity,high density,relatively high gamma,high impedance,high magnetic field intensity,Medium low amplitude,low resistivity.The identification model is established,the reservoir is predicted in the seismic profile,and then the spatial distribution characteristics of the potassium bearing brine layer are studied by extracting the characteristics of the planar attributes and combining with the planar structure map.Combined with the related geological information,such as structure and sedimentation,the favorable horizons and ranges of potassium bearing are delineated,which has achieved good results in practical application.
