Nowadays,in the process of human development and use of nature, due to the initial design and follow-up construction improperly, the formation of a large number of artificial slope, some of these slopes in densely populated areas, once landslides and other disasters, may cause significant property damage. At the same time China is a mountainous country, accounting for more than two-thirds of the land area are mountains,in some provinces, almost the province are in the mountains, which formed a variety of natural slope. Both natural and artificial slopes can cause very serious consequences. Therefore,it is of great practical significance and great social and economic benefits to study landslide hazard, especially for landslide stability. The author participated in the three gorges reservoir area during grinding of geological disasters prevention and early warning project and Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefectureslope treatment project, contact with the passage of many type and pull type landslide,at the same time,we also see the harm brought by landslide, these hazards have led authors to study landslide stability. In this thesis, the limit analysis and finite element method are used to study the stability of landslide stability. The advantages and disadvantages of these two methods are analyzed. On this basis, the main problems of landslide stability calculation method are summarized.Firstly, the sliding surface with the ideal elastic-plastic model, did not consider the true stress and strain of the sliding surface;secondly, the stability coefficient of the definition of defective;thirdly, these methods are not rigorous strength reduction method; Finally,in the traditional slope stability analysis, most of the limit equilibrium method, the limit equilibrium method is based on the limit equilibrium state(limit equilibrium state is: the possible sliding surface to reach the critical state, that is,the peak Stress state),the assumption that the entire sliding surface at the same time in a critical state, that is:when the slope is destroyed, the sliding surface is destroyed at the same time or almost simultaneously. In order to solve these problems and obtain the more stable stability of the landslide, the author puts forward a generalized Morgenstern-Price stability coefficient based on the traditional Morgenstern-Price method based on the new constitutive model proposed by Professor Lu Yingfa and his team Definition method. This method introduces the new joint constitutive model of Professor Lu Yingfa, and introduces the parameter calibration method of the model in detail. The author uses the traditional limit equilibrium method and the new method to calculate the safety factor for the concrete example of Wulipo slope, compare the results of each method to study the rationality and superiority of the new method, and the finite element software GEO-SLOPE is used to calculate the stability coefficient of the landslide, the results show that the generalized Morgenstern-Price method is perfect, the calculation method is quick and easy, the calculation result is reasonable and the numerical simulation is better.
