The Putaohua low permeability reservoirs in southern Songliao Basin are featured by strong heterogeneity and complicated oil-water relationship. This thesis is emphasis on the geological characteristics of low permeability reservoirs and further study on logging geology, especially for the calculation of reservoir physical parameters and the identification of oil-water layer via well logging data.It is important for the reservoir heterogeneity research, exploration and development in this area. With the guidance of stratigraphic sequence, sedimentary cycles and marker beds, combining the seismic and logging data, core observation and geologic model, the isochronal stratigraphic framework of Putaohua oil layers, the sedimentary model of anastomosed stream delta, the correspondence between sedimentary facies and electrofacies and the distribution feature of sedimentary microfacies was established.Meanwhile, principal component analysis is used to identify the lithology of study area.By the research of sedimentation, diagenesis, tectonism in study area, genetic mechanisms of low permeability reservoir was found,on the basis of that, porosity and permeability logging interpretation models was established,in order to interpret the fluid in low permeability reservoir,a fluid interpretation method which used modified cross plot was established;as favorable position for reservoir development, crotches of the anastomosed stream was found by analyzing the distribution features of the oil reservoir.
