Tight gas reservoirs are characterized by low permeability, low porosity and low abundance. In general, the reservoir pore structure is complex, reservoir heterogeneity is strong, and oil-gas-water relationship is complex, and there is no uniform gas-water interface in the same tectonic setting. These bring difficulties in effective reservoir identification, quantitative interpretation of reservoir parameters, identification of the flow nature and comprehensive evaluation.Changqing oil fields' gas reservoirs belong to dense heterogeneous lithologic gas reservoirs. The reservoir characteristics, logging response characteristics and gas-bearing characteristics are different in each region and different layers. Not all of the logging evaluation methods are adaptable to the need for interpretation and the conventional logging data cannot meet the requirements of the detailed evaluation of reservoir parameters. It is very necessary to study the logging evaluation system and logging series according to different geological characteristics to establish a set of tight gas logging evaluation process, and to standardize and better solve the geological problems.Imaging logging has a unique advantage in processing and interpreting methods in fine-grained evaluation of natural gas reservoirs, which can enrich the evaluation of conventional gas reservoirs. In order to accurately identify gas reservoirs and characterize gas reservoirs,it is necessary to evaluate the gas reservoirs by imaging logging evaluation techniques.Based on the combination of conventional logging data and imaging logging data, this paper analyzes the characteristics of tight gas reservoirs and the distribution laws of gas and water. With the multidisciplinary study of structural geology and sedimentary facies, the paper also analyses the unique functions of series of imaging logging evaluation of tight gas reservoirs.Aiming at the characteristics of tight gas reservoirs,a series of full function identification and evaluation techniques for tight gas reservoirs have been established, with conventional logging as the basis and imaging logging as the core, providing constructive advice for the selection and optimization of the tight gas reservoir logging series.
