The southern part of Guangzhou is located in the Pearl River Estuary with complex hydrodynamic conditions.This is a flat place and many rivers run through here.Sea water invasion and sea land interaction and other research hotspots also happen in this area.These phenomena may result in some harms to environment such as,Deterioration of groundwater quality,Shortage of fresh water resources,Water scarcity,Groundwater infiltration drainage network and so on.These phenomena seriously jeopardize the residents' health,industrial and agricultural production and ecological environment.So,it is very important to find out the current situation of salt water intrusion.,characteristics of groundwater and characteristics of groundwater evolution in saline water intrusion areasThe authors collect fresh river water and brackish river water samples in Zhujiang River estuary,groundwater near Zhujiang River estuary,and seawater in both the dry season and wet season.Combining geophysical technology and continuous pumping test,We investigated the status of salt water invasion and predict the development trend of salt water invasion.Through sample collection,field test and laboratory analysis,we study on dynamic characteristics of groundwater in the area,such as water level dynamic variation character of groundwater temperature,groundwater distribution characteristics;water chemical characteristics in the area,such as groundwater hydrochemistry distribution characteristics,hydrochemical type.By making a continuous pumping test and analyzing isotope data of samples,we summarize the evolution characteristics of groundwater and speculate the origin of groundwater.The invasion of salt water in southern guangzhou is as follows,the scope of different saline water intrusion areas is divided as Severe,mild,and not.Shek wai tong street in liwan districtXiagang street in huangpu district-Xintang town in zengcheng district-Nansha district-South of nancun town in panyu district is a serious saline water intrusion area;Dongsha street in liwan district-Central south street-Stone streets-NaCun Town-Sheung kwan street is a mild saline intrusion area;There is no salt water intrusion in luogang street and north area of tianhe districtXiagang street in huangpu district.The groundwater flow field in the study area is divided into two sub units.The dividing line is xiagang street in huangpu distric-tianhe district-the northern of liwan district.The groundwater flow field in the area from the boundary belongs to two different subunits.The type of hydrochemistry shows a horizontal zoning phenomenon from north to south in study area.The exchange of water and groundwater in the study area is weaker.Groundwater is affected by the stress of seawater,but the hydraulic exchange is slow.Groundwater receives different rates of rainfall and surface water recharge in January and may.In May,groundwater in the study area is mainly supplied by the river,Groundwater supplies to the river are weak in January.
