With the improvement of the technology of exploration and development,reservoir of complex fault block becomes people's target.Predicting reservoir correctly will contribute to improving the successful rate of drilling,reducing costs of exploration & development and increasing oil & gas production,as reservoir is the direct object of the target layer of exploration and development of oil & gas.Research for complex fault block reservoir prediction supporting technical process is urgently needed.Sudan N reservoir which this paper focuses on belongs to the complex fault block reservoir.Its favorable reservoir is mostly sand and shale interbedded layers.The faults develop and the blocks are complex,which make it difficult for seismic data interpretation and inversion with poor seismic data.And the favorable sandstone reservoir lateral varies,which makes it hard to figure out the clear position of the favorable reservoir.In this paper,using new 3D seismic data,by fine structural interpretation,using a variety of integrated seismic attribute analysis and seismic inversion methods,the favorable reservoir for N is predicted successfully.Combining seismic,geology and well logging data,the workflow of the reservoir prediction of sandstone interbeded with shale in the complex fault block is made.And the specific technical method of reservoir prediction technique is described.The sand thickness and location of target reservoir are identified.
