This paper studied the seismic illumination analysis method based on two-way wave equation,and we mainly focused on the research of seismic resolution analysis,optimizing the design of seismic observational system and illumination direction method orienting subsurface geology target.The technology route of our research is from the concept of illumination to its application,from two-dimension to three-dimension and from simplicity to complexity.As a research method,seismic illumination tried to infer how energy distributes when seismic wave transmit under the ground.We first talked about the theories of the illumination of seismic waves and compared usual illumination means,including ray tracing illumination operator,one-way equation operator,two-way equation operator,plane source controlled direction operator,multi-wave illumination operator and so on.Comparing those common illumination methods,we find that two-way illumination operator is an accurate and efficient tool.The core of illumination analysis is the calculation of wave field Green function and the finite difference modeling is the main tool under the full wave theory.The realization of two-way illumination analysis needs a method to get information about all kinds of waves accurately.Based on the previous studies,we derive the formulation of wave energy and its distribution.The application of the method is that we can analysis seismic absolution.On the one hand analysis of the effect factors is to study the application of illumination.The factors are mainly about the frequency of seismic wavelet,anomalous body.The other important factors are about setting up the acquisition system containing distance between traces and detectors' length.The most extensive application of seismic illumination is in order to optimize seismic acquisition observation system,which is also the focus of this paper.This paper firstly states forward illumination method of source array,then based on reversed illumination theory,we can be sure the range of dense source,receivers arrangement and length.Finally,we can determine acquisition parameter through the comparison whether the system is updated or not.We calculate the illumination of the target from anomalous model to fault model,from model to real data,and the tests on model and real data proved the correctness,feasibility and applicability of the approach.Finally,the seismic illumination analysis method based on two-way wave equation successfully extended to target-oriented direction decomposition and tested on some simple models.Including two main methods that is based on Poynting vector and Fourier method,we can extract needed direction by filtering to increase signal-noise ratio and resolution.The tests on the models verify the feasibility.
