Quantitative evaluation of residual hydrocarbon in the source rock have important theoretical and practical significance to calculating the various periods of expulsion efficiency, quantitative evaluation of hydrocarbon source rocks, calculating the amount of oil and gas resources, dynamic analysis of oil and gas migration and accumulation and its relationship with trap formation period. This paper studies and files the related literatures, and explores preserving mechanism of occluded hydrocarbons in source rocks from the two aspects, namely, swelling and adsorption.According to the experimental data of swelling and adsorption of kerogen, and combined with organic matter swelling and adsorption model,it is calculated to get swelling and adsorption oil gas volume in different evolution stages. The clay mineral analysis is used to study the composition of different petrology mineralogy. The experiments such as high pressure Hg injection are used to study porosity of the rock with different quantity.According to adsorption potential theory model, the inorganic adsorption is calculated to get oil gas volume and reserving volume of inorganic porous in the different evolution stages of source rocks. The research results show that the better the type of organic matter is,the higher the swelling volume of kerogen is,and the poorer the adsorption competence is.The higher the maturity of organic matter is,the lower the highest swelling competence of kerogen is,and the swelling hydrocarbon content shows the tendency of increasing firstly and then reducing;the swelling oil volume of kerogen is far larger than swelling gas volume, and the poorer the type is,the lower the rate of swelling gas is.The absorption hydrocarbon content of kerogen shows the tendency of increasing firstly and then reducing along with Ro,and the poorer the type is,the higher the proportion of kerogen absorption is.In the stage of being high mature or excessively mature, along with the increase of Ro,dead carbon produced by oil cracking into gas blocks the cracks of kerogen, and the compaction of shale reduces the cracks of kerogen to make the size of the cracks of kerogen gradually become small. The stage of being high mature or excessively mature, inorganic reserved gas volume and clay mineral content as well as TOC show the good positive correlation relationship, and have no evidence relation with quartz and Ro.The inorganic absorption proportion shows the tendency of firstly increasing and then reducing along with the increase of Ro.In the stage of being low mature, the absorption proportion increases along with the increase of Ro.When the maturity continues to increase, the absorption proportion reduces along with the increase of Ro.This research aims at the marine source rocks of Qiongzhusi Formation in Sichuan Basin to apply the quantitative evaluation model of accomplished different occurrences of occluded hydrocarbons to conduct quantitative evaluation on current occluded hydrocarbons, and the actual application effects are good.
