Studies On Meiofauna Ecology And Taxonomy Of Free-living Nematodes From The Laizhou Bay

To study the undisturbed sediments from interidal and subtidal zone in the Laizhou Bay,sediments were collected from April 2011 to May 2016.Meiofauna taxa composition and abundance were analyized.Taxonomy and diversity of free-living marine nemtodes were also studied.The main results are summarized as follows:Samples of 13 stations from Laizhou Bay were collected,covering the rage of east longitude 118°48?to 112°12?,north latitude 37°12?to 37°48?.The average abundance and biomass of meiobenthos were 1833.41±558ind·10 cm^-22 and 1178.7±664.9?g·10 cm^-2.Nine kinds of meiofauna were identified free-living marine nematodes,copepodas,polychaetas,Cumacea,bivalvia,turbellaria,kinorhyncha,ostracoda,Nauplii.Among which,free-living nematodes were the dominant group with the abundance of 94.52%.105nematode species?taxa?were identified,belonging to 41 genera,16 family and 4 orders.The dominant genera were Parodontophora Timm,1963;Sabatieria Rilleouv,1903;Dorylaimopsis Dilevsen,1918;Eleutherolaimus Filipjev,1922;Paramesacanthion Wieser,1953.Samples of 10 stations from interidal zone of Laizhou Bay were collected in May2016.The average abundance and biomass of meiobenthos were 789±257 ind·10 cm^-2and 387±260?gdwt·10 cm^-2.Eight kinds of meiofauna were identified,free-living marine nematodes,copepodas,oligochaets,polychaetas,kinorhyncha,ostracoda,gastrotricha,nemertina.Among which,free-living nematodes were the dominant group with the abundance of 92.67%.157 nematode species?taxa?were identified,belonging to 54 genera,24 family and 4 orders.The dominant genera were Daptonema Cobb,1920;Parodontophora Timm,1963;Thalassomonhystera Jacobs,1987;Ethmolaimus De Man,1880;Chromadorina Filipjev,1918.Five new species are identified and described:Daptonema papillifora sp.nov.,Pseudosteineria zhangi sp.nov.,Geomonhystera heterospicula sp.nov.,Paramesacanthion laizhouwanensis sp.nov.,Paragonmoxyala bohaiensis sp.nov..Nine new records also are identified and described:Bathylaimus australis Cobb,1893;Daptonema propoium Lorenzen,1972;Ptycholaimellus hibernus Eskin&Hopper,1985;Laimella annae Chen&Vincx,2000;Halichoanolaimus duodecimpapillatus Timm,1954;Nudora gourbawltae Vanreusel&Vincx,1989;Steineria ampullacea Wieser&Hopper,1967;Eurystomina americana Chitwood,1936;Sabatieria pulchor Schneideo,1906.
