The coiling temperature is the temperature between hot rolling and coiling, it has an important influence on the mechanical properties and surface quality. The optimization of coiling temperature control has important significance for the hot rolling production line. This paper analyzed the controlled cooling system, control model and cooling process of a 1580mm hot-strip line. We carried out the research in order to ensure that the system meets high standards of acceptance, to improve the precision of coiling temperature control, and expend to other similar hot-strip line. Adopting the approach of "System analysis-Problem analysis-Solving problems-application in practice",we proposed a series of measures in several aspects:system process, parameter adjustment and model logic, etc. These measures improved the coiling temperature control accuracy effectively, ensured the production process stability of the high-value products such as auto sheet, silicon steel, thin container strip and pipeline steel, etc. These measures also reduce the wastage resulting from unqualified coiling temperature.After the optimization measures are lifted, this 1580mm hot-trip line get the analyzing ability of phase transition process and strengthening mechanism. These measures also made this line be able to control the stage cooling of dual-phase steel.
