With mine mining mechanization continues to improve, coal dust and damage problems have become increasingly prominent. Dust is not only harmful for the health of mine workers, causing pneumoconiosis, but also may cause dust explosion, leading to a major mine disasters. In the process of coal production, especially in the machine excavation face and mechanized mining face, the highest concentration of dust threaten to the occupational safety and health and safety production. Therefore, the dust must be controlled within the allowable range.For coal dust in coal produced by mining continuous mining machines, drilling machines, this paper studies on the wet metal mesh filter, which can be moved with the workspace and has high efficiency and low resistance. It is as an ideal the potential of the filter.Based on the analysis of important factor of dust collecting, paper studies nozzle atomization mechanisms and dust trapped process by droplet including inertial impaction, interception, diffusion, gravitational settling. Analysis of wet metal removal efficiency of dust trapped under the relevant factors indicates that metal dust is a result of many factors working together.Paper designs small model and large model of wet metal mesh filter, then develops a experimental program. Wet scrubber based on 20 layers and 40 layers of metal mesh is selected on market with three kinds of metal mesh. Experimental result decides the type of spray and metal mesh material. Spraying water volume experiment shows more influenced by wind speed, less affected by water spray and removal efficiency increases with the increase of water, after reaching 3m/s, removal efficiency began to decrease or increase slowly.The results show the prefer actual use is efficiency to 99.02% when resistance is 98Pa as 40 layers of NO.1metal mesh at 16L/min,3 m/s. The application can be promoted in high temperature, humidity, dust explosion-prone workplace where the water is plentiful.After theoretical analysis and experimental researching, paper presents a wet metal mesh filter design and obtains a series of parameters. Various parts of dust resistance estimating derive total resistance at conditions state is about 510Pa.
