The characteristics of LCO is high content of aromatics and sulfur, low cetane value. It's amount is about 1/3 of the total amount of diesel. Catalytic hydrogenation technology can effectively improve the quality of diesel. Sinopec Changling branch Based on the traditional trickle bed and the existing liquid phase hydrogenation process, the new technology of liquid phase hydrogenation of LCO in tubular reactor was proposed by Sinopec Changling branch. This paper study the model for reaction process in order to provide the reference for further development and application of this technology.A large number of references are made to study the reaction mechanism of hydrogenation reaction in diesel hydrogenation refining. Experimental studies based on a series of different process conditions on liquid phase hydrogenation in tubular reactor were to explore it's experimental conditions. Lumped kinetic model of LCO liquid phase hydrogenation was established. The parameters of the model were fitted and tested by using experiment data and results show the model is reliable. The model of fluid flow in the tubular reactor was investigated by using the results of reaction with and without the mixer of ceramic membrane and the flow in the tube reactor was confirmed as plug flow model. Model for liquid phase hydrogenation of LCO reaction process in tubular reactor was established based on the kinetic and flow model. The model of reaction process was used to predict the different operating conditions. The multi-points adding hydrogen process was simulated by using this model. Two-points adding hydrogen process can effectively improve the quality of diesel and the results of three-points adding hydrogen process show hydrogenation reaction depth can be improved by increasing points of adding hydrogen in the same total hydrogen content. The above results can provide reference for the further research of the new technology.
