This paper takes the quality control of engineering design project as the research orientation, briefly introduces the research background, elaborates the research status and development state of quality control both at home and abroad, and also the quality control's basic principles and main processes. Combined with coal to hydrogen construction case, point out A company's engineering design problems to be solved, which are security risks existing in finished design files and quality control's unstable.Unifying its own actual in A company's coal to hydrogen construction project design process, effectively utilize HAZOP analysis to foresee risks, remove security hidden danger of finished design products in design stage, reduce quality risk of finished designproducts to reduce the accident probability. Through modularity design to improve work efficiency, effectively alleviate the contradiction between quality control and schedule control, inherit the engineering design experiences, and improve the stability of quality control. Through setting quality control goals of engineering design project, analyze all the problems lying in all stages, and point out the corresponding settlements. This is a very good reference to ensure design quality and successful completion of engineering design. Meanwhile, this will raise the engineering design quality to a new height, improve company's overall design level, improve market reputation, and enhance competitive ability.
