Assembly is the last step in the product design and manufacturing, as well as the most critical aspect in a product manufacturing cycle. The 50 percent of product quality depends on assembly processes, so product assembly process is significantly indispensable. Nowadays, most enterprises use two-dimensional drawings and paper technical documents to guide the product assembly. Although the two-dimensional assembly process file is standard, the digression between two-dimensional assembly process documents and three-dimensional geometric model results in poor vivid guidance. Besides, site assembly workers are easy to misunderstand the process contents. Currently, the most effective method is to simulate the assembly process with three-dimensional technology instead of the traditional two-dimensional assembly process.The research has built the assembly process information model oriented complicated thin-walled parts based on "Fat-model" in this paper. The assembly process information model not only contains the geometric properties and feature constraint relations, but also involves management property information; resources property information and process attribute information of the product. At the same time, the research studies the dynamic assembly information integration method with the assembly process context.The research presents the framework of site process visualization system that guides assembly production, which includes assembly process simulating, storing and sharing of mass assembly process data information and process publishing. This paper has researched distributed database storing technology, process-objected implementation technology and three-dimensional visualization technology of site visualization process, and has created a prototype system.This paper takes a certain type of reducer assembly process as an example to introduce the components of functions and application methods of the server and the client of a site process visualization system. The site process visualization system has been applied in the actual assembly production of a certain type of complicated thin-walled parts. It has a good application prospect and gains good effects, which includes improving the efficiency of the assembly, raising less errors and enhancing the quality of the product assembling.
