With the rapid development of national defense, aerospace, household appliances, auto industry and so on, the demands for shape precision of strip are more and more strict. The stretching and bending leveller is more and more widely used because it can remove the defect on flatness and improve the shape of strip. The parameter setting and the running force for the bending roll as the key components in application of stretching and bending leveller play an important part in reaching the requirement of straightness. But the model of the parameter setting is not accurate and the research for the roller surface stress distribution is less both in domestic and abroad. This paper derive the formula of solving the bending roll reduction and straightening tension based on elasto-plastic theory and deep research on tension leveling. This paper establish the model of straightening central bulge, bilateral bulge, near side bulge and transverse buckling by the ANSYS/LS-DYNA software and obtained the straightened flatness in different combination of bending roll reduction and tension. This paper verify the formula is correct by solving results. By extracting the element of the bending roll surface, this paper study how the strip defect, bending roll reduction and tension, strip specification influence the distribution of roller surface stress. This research plays an important part in setting the straightening process parameter, designing the bending roll, improving the strip shape quality, reducing production cost and extending the service life of bending roll. It solves the urgent need of the current enterprises and played a good reference to the research of the similar problems.
