Plastic products use more and more widely in the electronics, medical, automotive and other industrial applications. Injection molding machine is the main equipment for the production of plastic products, the injection molding machine controllers mostly are manufactured abroad, they are high-cost and sometimes not acclimatized. Subject units need to develop an injection molding machine controller with intellectual property rights, to replace now the KEBA controller. Units around the needs of the subject, takes the injection speed as the study point and do some work in the following:(1) Read a large number of relevant literatures on the injection speed control algorithm of the injection molding machine, and make a literature review about the injection speed control algorithm.(2) Make an analysis of the injection speed control system, as well as its servo valve and injection hydraulic cylinder mechanism, and a fourth-order transfer function mathematical model of injection speed is established.(3) Injection speed has the characteristic of repeatability. The open-loop P-type iterative learning algorithm is designed for the injection speed control, but the control effect is not ideal. On this basis, the closed-loop PD-type iterative control algorithm is improved. The simulation results show that the iteration number is less and over shoot is less than 5% and the steady-state error is in the range of the setting.(4) Different plastic products need different injection speed curves, and the parameters of conventional PID controller need continuous trial and error, which is time-consuming and low-effectiveness. The fuzzy PID controller is a good solution to the problem of PID parameter adjustment, but the overshoot is over 14%, and the steady state error is large in disturbance condition. For this purpose, the Self-Organizing Fuzzy controller is designed. The simulation results show that the control effect is good, with the overshoot reduced to 4% and a stablized stable error.(5) For injection molding machine control algorithm development method, we use the RIO NI 9623 real time single board controller to build the HILS of ofinjection molding machine controller. Implementation of the injection speed algorithm is completed in LABVIEW programming environment,in the meantime, weconduct the injection speed control experiments with disposablelunch box and itslid, obtaining an ideal control effect.
