This paper sysstematically and comprehensive synthesizes the spatiotemporal difference of the type and quality of ecosystem with multidisciplinary knowledge of methodologies,and embarked on thematic research of accounting the ecosystem capital in rapidly urbanized area,taking Zengcheng City in Guangzhou as an example.Located at the Urban Agglomeration edge,Zengcheng City,with the special location and function position,developes its unique progressing paths,which is destined to coordinating the development of big cities and even Urban Agglomeration,on the basis of reaching their internal sustainable development.This paper regards the value accounting,spatial analysis and principle application of ecosystem capital as the clue to carry out the research step by step.While carrying out the study on theory,the amount,structure and spatial distribution of regional ecosystem capital are reveled under the new background of Zengcheng City in Guangzhou by accounting the ecosystem capital.In addition,this paper explores the path to realise regional sustainable development on the Urban Agglomeration edge after the combination of the strategy of economic development?spatial pattern and ecological protection,as well as analysing the sustainable development conditions of the Urban Agglomeration edge in small and middle-sized city.Taking the Zengcheng City as the study object,this city has successfully realised its rapid development in economy,as well as its regional ecological environment sustainable development,which has been an example for relevant scientific studies and social management gaining extensive attention.This research uses Enhanced Vegetation Index extracted from Landsat remote sensing image to interpret vegetation cover in Zengcheng City in Guangzhou,and combine with meteorological data which was included to simulate ecological parameters such as vegetation coverage and NPP for the 12 months in 2014.Under the aegis of the GIS and ENVI software,comb:ining remote sensing theory?geography methodology and ecological economy theory to reckon the value of ecosystem capital in Zengcheng City in Guangzhou by establishing the framework of accounting ecosystem capital,and its spatial distribution map was drawn to analyze spatial pattern.This paper made the following four specific tasks with ecosystem capital accounting at the core.In the first section,research review about the theory of ecosystem capital accounting.This study has analyzed intellectual system of ecosystem capital accounting,and sorted out the definition?meaning and constitution of ecosystem capital accounting.By literature review of ecosystem capital accounting,this paper tries dividing studies about ecosystem capital accounting into three scales,comprehensive ecosystem level,single ecosystem level and single ecosystem services.After the overall analysis,this paper focuses on the assessment methodology based on remote sensing which was studied more.In the second section,data is collected and handled.The study on the Guangzhou city collected a large amount of data about natural environment,ecological,social and economic.Based on these data,the background conditions in the study area were analyzed and some key ecological parameters were estimated.Especially,the data of EVI from 250m×250m study area is used to estimate Vegetation coverage and NPP.The EVI data of 12 months in 2014 is used to calculate Vegetation coverage of Zeng city in every month of that year,to analyse the change of Vegetation coverage.Meanwhile,on the basis of reading a large amount of foreign language papers,we got innovative model,in the next step,we calculated GPP of study area that year by time series EVI and land surface temperature(LST),and then we estimated spatial distribution of NPP which is gotten by GPP in the Zengcheng city that year.In the third section,the ecological asset of Zengcheng city is valued,which is the core work in my study after theoretical research and data collection.Ecological asset value which is on the basis of remote sensing data is chosed to the specific method.ENVI and GIS will be used to handle RS data as well as spatial display.Firstly,the ecological asset accounting technical route is settled and built the index framework of the accounting system.In the next step,we analyzed the value of natural resources and ecological products as well as the ecosystem service function of ecological capital.Referring to previous research and discovery,combined with the characteristics of remote sensing measurement,the comprehensive ecosystem value of the assets are classified into the following several aspects:water supply,water and soil conservation,climate regulation,waste treatment,nutrient cycling,creature development.We took the empirical formula method that based on remote sensing data to calculate indexs,such as biological growth,nutrient circulation,climate regulation and part of waste disposal function.Based on informations of NPP that we measured,we had taken raster spatial data to do the calculation of ecological asset index value and present the result in space directly.Considering that the limitation of researching basis data and measuring part of index to the index such as conserve water,maintenance water,maintain biodiversity and entertainment,the research took value equivalent method based on traditional experience to measure it.By mean of analyzing the value of ecosystem service function in different land type and grid and integrating vegetation coverage and NPP to modify it,we acquire the value of ecosystem service function in different land type per unit area.What's more,we calculated it by surface coverage type map,thus realize spatio dynamic mode for virtual ecosystem service function.In the end,by synthesizing the results of measuring all index,we acquired spatial distribution of ecological assets of Zengcheng City,Guangzhou City.Part four,the expansion of the ecological assets accounting research.This part starting from the apply of land use/Land cover and ecological balance,Ecological asset space partition method theory,Ecological asset accounting in urban planning,we carried out exploratory research.When talking about land utilization/Land cover and ecological balance,a part of it discussed the relationship between land utilization/Land cover and ecological balance on quantity structure and spatial pattern in the research area.We consulted existing ecological asset space division method on large scale in ecological assets spatial division and took study of the ecological assets in partition and put forward different planning and development strategy to different ecological asset.The basic conclusion of the study:(1)The research of ecological balance theory show that there are many shortcomings in current research of ecological balance theory.First,the concept connotation and denoation of ecological asset has yet to be studied further.The research believe that the concept connotation of ecological asset is combination and unity of Natural resources.Second,the research of part of ecological asset accounting index is too little that the research of ecosystem service function is need to be studied further.And ecosystem services value.Third,though ecological asset accounting method that based on remote sensing data is novelty,it would influenced seriously by data and method.Forth,though the research of ecological asset accounting is a lot,the research surrounding ecological asset evaluation is little,urban ecological asset evaluation showed low of regional development plan,land-use planning especially.(2)The comprehensive calculation results gotten by using remote sensing technology and ArcGIS technology indicated:The total value of ecological assets of Zengcheng of Guangzhou is 5.869x 109 RMB in 2014.The average value of ecological assets of Zengcheng is 3.40 million RMB/km2 in 2014.Comparing with similar research results in the same region,we found that the results of this study and other related research estimates of the ecological asset density are approximate,which showed the results of this study reasonable.(3)From the point of the relationship between land use and ecological system:Analyzing the statistical charts the ecological service function of different types of ecological system in Zengcheng in 2014,we found that the forest land ecosystem had the highest value of ecological assets,the asset value of regional forest ecosystem was 4.13×109 RMB.Followed by arable land ecosystem,the value of its ecological assets was 1.16×109 RMB.However,because of the smaller area,weak ecosystem services and other reasons,the value of ecological assets of the grassland and unused land were lowest,which were 2.7×107 RMB and 3.97×107 RMB.(4)Combined with ecological assets measurement and the management of urban and rural planning,the results of ecological assets measurement should be well applied to urban and rural planning.Analyzing the partitions of the results of ecological assets accounting in Zengcheng,we put forward a partition developing mode based on the results of ecological assets accounting.For the development of the regional in the next step,it provides a reference for the further improve of the coordination of society,economic and nature.
