Since the energy consumption of grinding and classification operations is more than 50% of the total energy consumption of the dressing plant.Therefore,energy-saving and cost-reducing are great significance for the dressing plant.Hunan Shizhuyuan 1500/d polymetallic tungsten ore dressing plant grinding and classification system was an example in this paper.It proved to be reasonable that the program of grinding classification process optimization which is canceling the second segment grinding classification process of 1# series,and merging the classification overflow products of first segment grinding classification process of 1# series and the classification overflow products of first segment grinding classification process of 2# series into the second segment grinding classification process of 2# series by studing the optimization theory of the cycle load,the classification efficiency and the classifying overflow fineness of first segment grinding classification process and using the JKSim Met simulation soft analysis simulation the feasibility of grinding classification process optimization.we have carried out the corresponding industry experiment and get the following conclusions:(1)Using JKSimMet software simulation to optimize the grinding and classification process,the-74?m grinder utilization coefficient,the quality and quantity amount of classification efficiency and mill newborn-74 ?m yields are in the normal range,at the ball mill total processing capacity unchanged.(2)Comparing with the previous grinding and classification process,after the grinding and classification process optimization,the mill processing capacity while maintaining the premise of the grinder and reducing its total power 120 kw,a reduction of 9.49%,the total utilization coefficient of first segment grinder increased by 0.44t/(m3 h),increased by 26.44%,the utilization coefficient of second segment grinder increased by 0.21t/(m3 h),increased by 30.68%,the total classification efficiency by quality of first segment grader increased by 15.18 percentage point,increased by 17.17%,the total classification efficiency by quantity and by quality of second second segment hydrocyclone increased by 28.27,6.59 percentage point,increased by46.74%,12.74%.(3)Comparing with the previous grinding and classification process,after grinding and classification process optimization,while keeping the grinding fineness substantially the same previous grinding fineness,Sec classification overflow product quality greatly will be improved,which the qualified size fraction yield of grain size increased 2.55 percent points,increased by(4)Industrial experiment results show that,the effect of energy saving and incremental efficiency is significant,after grinding and classification process optimization.The ball consumption of grinding decreases by 0.15kg/t,and the power consumption of grinding classification operation decreases by 175 kW.So it can generate 105.44 million yuan for dressing plant saving energy and reducing consumption in one year,namely the grinding cost reduces 2.13yuan/t.The recovery rate of tungsten,molybdenum,bismuth are 69.52%,93.0% and 67.90%,increased 2.13%,3.08 % and 1.66 % accordingly,the increased amount of metal can bring 2.6million yuan economic benefit for the dressing plant in one year.
