Generally, polyurethane acrylates (PUAs) are composed of diisocyanate, polyol or diol and hydroxyalkyl acrylate. They can perform to transformation from solvent-free liquid to solid almost instantaneously upon UV irradiation and show a range of properties available through the judicious choice of the component of PUAs. This high energy efficiency and production rate and versatility of properties have made them ideal materials for a wide range of applications, including thin film coatings, protective coatings for optical fibers and photolithography. However, two major drawbacks of pretty high yellowing and polymerization shrinkage exist, which is the big problem for the development of PUA coating that needs to be solved urgently. In the present paper, a series of polysiloxane urethane acrylate oligomers were synthesized by polysiloxane (PSi), isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA), then preparation of a variety of samples by mixing these oligomers with monomer IBOA. In addition, by the introduction of the 1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctanol as the side chain of the polysiloxane, the yellowing resistance of cured films had an obvious improvement. The same result could also be obtained by increasing content of polysiloxane in the UV-curing system. At the same time, this paper found that by the introduction of the 1H,1 H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctanol as the side chain of the polysiloxane, the volume shrinkage of cured films had an significantly reduced. The same result could also be obtained by increasing content of polysiloxane in the UV-curing system.Furthermore, the introduction of the 1H,1H,2H,2H-Perfluorooctanol into the oligomer could improve the flexibility, water resistance and the compatibility of polysiloxane urethane acrylate oligomers with monomers. Besides, polysiloxane urethane acrylate which contained the higher content of uramido had higher thermal decomposition temperature, adhesion and Tg. In the end, polysiloxane urethane acrylate which contained the higher content of polysiloxane had higher thermal decomposition temperature, contact angle, Tg and flexibility...
