In this paper,polyurethane acrylate was synthesised from isophoronediisocyanate(IPDI),hydroxy pivalic acid neopentyl glycol ester(ED204), polyesterdiols(1000),polyether polyol(PPG2000) and2-hydroxyethyl acyrlaet(HEA) by the method ofmass polymerization including two steps reaction.The effects of every step of the synthesiswere systemically discussed,including the amount of catalyst and inhibitor, reactiontemperature and reaction time. The structural of the PUA were characterized by infrared(FTIR) in order to make sure the oligomers were synthesised according to the designedstructural.The most suitable reaction condition of the PUA synthesis were that the first stepreacted1h at the temperature of50℃with the amount of catalyst0.1%and the second stepreacted5h at the temperature of70℃with the amount of catalyst0.15%,inhibitor0.3%.The PUA synthesised under the most suitable condition were used as the basic resin forUV coating. The effects of the oligomers, monomers, initiator concentration on filmproperties including adhesion, hardness, impact resistance, strength, abrasion resistance,flexibility, water tolerance, and corrosion resistance were detailed discussed.Thephotoinitiator1173,184, TPO UV absorption spectroscopy were measured by ultravioletspectrophotometer in order to determine the selection of photoinitiators. The Tg ofPUA1,PUA2,PUA3analysised by DSC are21~31℃,60℃,-13℃,respectively.The excellent coating formulation used in the plastic substrate was obtained throughmore and more experiments and continuously adjust coating formulation on the basic of thedescribed oligomers, monomers, initiators agent on the influence of film properties.
