The dormitory is one of the places students live as important as classrooms, laboratories and other facilities in the campus. In The dormitory,furniture good or bad, directly affects the comfort that students in the bedroom feel. At present, our country’s existing bedroom furniture most is traditional furniture, mainly consists of a bed, table, chair, only solutes a "sleep" Basic function, and not according to the social progress and the corresponding changes, there is no basis for the needs of students to optimize, unable to meet the requirements of modern students.Lifestyle is used to research life trajectory and behavior pattern in similar populations. Through analysis of typical crowd, clear their consumption concept, view of life, habits, can help the enterprise make market segments and a clear market positioning. At the same time, it can be used in the design; can help designers understand the behavior patterns of a specific group of people. Through behavior patterns to tap demand, understand the real appeal of the heart of the target population, to design a product that meets the target population. Lifestyle research has the same view with the "people-oriented" "sustainable design" that advocated by design and has a wide application scope.This paper from the lifestyle of contemporary college students, firstly, has a systematic theoretical research on concept and development status of user lifestyle related theory, and confirms the feasibility of lifestyle to guide the product design. Secondly, through on-the-spot investigation and questionnaire method, deeply understand the lifestyle of contemporary college students. According to the lifestyle, outline the trajectory of College Students’ dormitory activities, analysis of the demand of college students for the function of bedroom furniture, make a reasonable function layout according to the demand, and then complete the design. It can put forward the new design idea for future college students’ dormitory furniture design.
