Research On Furniture Design For Young People Living Alone In First-Tier Cities

With the continuous acceleration of the urbanization process,the population mobility has been greatly enhanced,and the traditional living mode has begun to change.As a new way of life,"livin g alone" has begun to rise.The advantageous resources of the first tier cities represented by Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou and Shenzhen attract more and more young people,and the number of youn g people living alone is increasing.Living alone in first-line cities,affected by work,urban housing prices and personal income,renting houses is still the main way for young people living alone.Wh ether the furniture is equipped and used in accordance with the user’s lifestyle directly or indirectly affects the quality of life of users.As a major and non negligible part of youth groups and rental gro ups,Its healthy development is of great significance for the sustainable development of society.De signing rental furniture that conforms to the lifestyle of this group can improve the quality of life an d experience of young people living alone in rental housing,and provide reference value for promo ting the continuous improvement and progress of the rental housing market.In this paper,the research population is located between 21 and 35 years old(including 21 and35 years old).After graduation,they live and work in Beijing,Shanghai,Guangzhou and Shenzhe n.At present,they are living alone in a rented house.(1)Through desktop research and questionnaire research,we learned about the types of urban rental housing and the rental classification and living status of young people living alone in first-lin e cities,including the information about living form,housing source type and living space.Based o n the research results,we further defined and refined the research objects.For modern apartment br ands,we designed and studied the bedroom space furniture of their shared single rooms with the yo uth living alone as the research population.Research and analyze the current apartment brand shari ng products in the first tier cities,mainly including market positioning,space environment and furn iture allocation.(2)Based on the theoretical research on life form,the AIO life form measurement system was selected to combine with the actual research object and content,and the demographic information,life form and furniture related information of the research population were investigated quantitativ ely through questionnaire survey,and the life form characteristics of the research population were o btained.(3)Use the interview method,household survey method and scenario analysis method to inve stigate the current situation of users’ furniture use.Describe the actual living conditions,furniture u se status,pain points and related items of the target population in the rented bedroom space from fi ve scenarios: work,diet,leisure and entertainment,sleep and rest,and household storage.At presen t,the research population has pain points such as insufficient storage space,unreasonable size,etc.under the working scenario,In the dining scene,there are pain points such as difficult to clean,lack of hospitality areas and leisure entertainment furniture in the leisure entertainment scene,insufficie nt storage space and uncomfortable leaning in the sleep and rest scene,and insufficient storage spac e and unreasonable zoning in the household storage scene.(4)Analyze the furniture use needs of the target population according to the information obtai ned from the survey of lifestyle characteristics,and obtain a number of furniture use needs that mee t the aesthetic,space use and warm style.According to the survey of furniture use status,combine u ser portraits,stakeholder maps and user experience journey maps to comprehensively analyze user needs,and obtain a number of furniture use needs such as safety,comfort and ease of processing,T he KJ analysis method is used to classify the demand and establish the demand hierarchy model.T here are 5 criteria levels and 16 indicators in total.The AHP analytic hierarchy process is used to ob tain the weight of each element.(5)Transform the furniture use needs into the necessary conditions for design,and then transf orm them into design elements.Collect the element pictures,and summarize the furniture design el ements for the young people living alone in the first tier cities from five aspects: function,shape,st ructure,material and color elements.Finally,the priority of furniture use demand and design eleme nts are used to guide the design practice,and the specific case background is selected to optimize th e design,and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is used to verify the design scheme.The research purpose of this paper is to solve the problems of furniture use of solitary youth in the first tier cities under the scenario of renting houses,improve the quality of life of solitary youth,and provide reference value for product development and design of related industries and improve ment of the rental market.
