An Analysis On The Carbon Trading Market In China: Based On The Chlor Alkali Chemical Industry

Since the industrial revolution in 1750,the greenhouse gas emissions generated by human activities are considered to be one of the most important reasons for causing global warming.Therefore,a series of measures have been promulgated under the joint efforts of the whole world,in order to reduce the dependence on traditional fossil energy,and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.To realize the harmonious development of econmy and environment,China’s government is also based on its own reality,made the basket of plan to save the energy,reduct emissions during the period of “11th five-year plan” and “twelfth five-year”.At the now time,China is in a new period of economic transition and social transformation,the old industry has confronted with unprecedented difficulties,the environment problem is increasingly outstanding,the development of the petrochemical industry meets the bottleneck.Above all,the chlor alkali chemical industry is particularly prominent which consumes coal and power resources,at the same time outputs based raw materials.On the one hand,the chlor alkali enterprises are facing pressure to survive,on the other hand,the industry is facing increasing pressure on carbon emission reduction.It is particularly important to the chlor alkali chemical industry that whether enterprise can development by green way.Under this background,we use DEA model and questionnaire to find a way to solve the problem,by the analysis of the European carbon trading market and the operation of China’s carbon trading pilot market,combing the process of carbon emissions in chlor alkali enterprises.So as to achieve a win-win economic and social benefits.This paper finds,it shows different in carbon emission efficiency from the enterpises in eastern region from west region.At the same time,the majority chlor alkali enterprises is difficult to obtain the benefit under the existing mechanism and market conditions.The enterprises do not want to take the initiative to promote carbon emission reduction work.Therefore,under the background of the gradual establishment of a unified national carbon trading market,the chlor alkali enterprises should take positive actions,actively prepare for carbon emission trading market construction,give relevant policy suggestions.In the future the enterprise can find a green development path with the help of a carbon trading market,reduce production cost,realize the benign development of the industry.
